Small bites to share complemented with some bigger dishes for the really hungry people.
Damn Sum!
While the rest of the world is still feasting on fast bites like burgers, haute dogs and fancy fries, we changed course a few weeks ago looking for Asian dimsum. Needless to say we did so in style and found just the right place to do so: SumSum. The name has a nice ring to it. It sounds as cute as the place actually is. As the tradition goes when eating dimsum, we ordered tea first (the homemade ice tea variant but also regular tea). After teatime we enjoyed the taste of different dimsums, a Vietnamese spring roll salad and Dan Dan Noodles. The menu shows different delicious looking cocktails, which we unfortunately haven’t tested (yet). But not to worry, we’ll be back for more including cocktails!

There’s a good vibe going on at SumSum. Even though we came in on a stormy day, we didn’t seem to notice once we were inside. It’s peaceful place, almost zen-like, but not at all empty. All tables were occupied.
A place like this couldn’t have chosen a better place to settle than the trendy South area nearby the museum of Fine Arts.
Nope...
Starting from 6 euros you can enjoy your first dimsum portion. 50 euros later we were completely stuffed!
Whoever loves dimsum will only think it’s even better here. The not so big of a fans will have to admit it’s pretty good after a visit. Believes us when we say there’s no match for SumSum.
We arrived around 6 o’clock hungry for food. They immediately handed us a menu to handle the thirst. While everything in the kitchen was being prepared for a busy evening we were being served with a smile. Oh and those facebook reviews don’t lie about the fact that there’s a cute bartender working there!
The interior reminds a little of an Asian and tropical setting, but mainly also contemporary. The thing that stands out most is the way they hung the wires from the lamps – very stylish.
Ok, don’t shoot the messenger… We know we’re talking about a dimsum restaurant here, but the thing we were most enthusiastic about were the Dan Dan Noodles. Honesty…
