A lasagna place with top notch quality! Everything is taken care of up to the last detail.
Lovely Livelli
We obviously don’t have to tell you guys how much we love new places, especially when lasagna is involved. But the thing we love even more is lasagna with a story to it.
Good thing Stijn’s little lasagna place has such an inspiring story to go with that listening to it is the ideal pastime while waiting for your food. Stijn used to work as a car dealer when one day he decided to quit his job and dive into the wonderful world of food. Together with his father, who used to be a music teacher, he started Livelli and boy oh boy are we thankful for their decision.
Literally everything is handmade. Interior, furniture, tableware, you name it and they’ve made it. Then, of course, there’s the lasagna. Every morning Stijn and his father grind grain to flour. Next they use the flour to make their lasagna sheets. The result is a delicious and super fresh lasagna with that extra touch making sure this is your new favorite place to be.
The menu has a limited choice: pick your favorite lasagna dish out of 4 different kinds – we tried the bolognaise (there’s nothing wrong with an ultimate classic) and the chicken tandoori lasagna. This way they can handle everything in the kitchen. The menu changes per season so they can offer something new from time to time. Furthermore, for every lasagna dish there’s a matching side salad; not a must but definitely recommended!
Then there’s dessert and this won’t disappoint you either. We were among the last lucky few who got to taste the delicious Livelli tiramisu *instant drool*. Today, “Ons Moe” handles all the desserts and we’re sure there at least as good.
Oh, how do you finish a blog post about a place you can go on and on about? By visiting again 😉

Livelli is the place to be if you want to have a nice and fancy dinner without spending hundred dollar bills. Don’t worry, fancy doesn’t necessarily mean posh! In fact, Livelli is perfect for anyone (friends, family, lovers) who wants to take their time. Since everything is made from scratch, there’s at least a 25 minute waiting time – the ideal moment for you to catch up and the lasagna afterwards won’t disappoint you!
The south side of Antwerp is a lively neighborhood with small boutique shops and tons of cultural to do’s. After your shopping/museum spree Livelli is the ideal restaurant to blow off some steam.
Honestly, if you’re at Livelli’s you should be all ears for your company. Forget about the wifi – be old school and talk to each other.
For the best lasagna we’ve ever tasted you pay 15-17 euros. Have a salad on the side (4 euros) and some drinks and you’re good to go with 25 euros. Price-quality ratio is perfect.
The lasagnas we’ve eaten so far are nothing compared to the lasagnas combined with those refined side salads. And we don’t just mean our experiences with just those lasagnas in thin foil trays from the supermarket.
Whoever assumes that lasagna is the main reason to visit Livelli is wrong. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: Livelli is a place with a story to it. Stijn’s service is all about his story and his passion and we can only encourage this.
The unique tile floor, the yellow mustard colors, the wooden tables, the ceiling construction with lamps and plants, … It’s all manmade and we were impressed!
We’ve never had the chicken tandoori lasagna combo before and we must say this was definitely our favorite. Same goes for the side salads, which we loved, making sure those lasagnas aren’t just plain lasagnas. The refined tastes and colors are a beautiful and delicious addition to the pasta. Psst, apparently they also have a killer limoncello, but we haven’t had the chance just yet to taste it. Who is up for a drink?
